MWg announces the launch of MWg Zinc II. This PDA has a sleek slider design with full QWERTY keypad. This successor of O2 Xda Zinc has slimmer profile than the original O2 Xda Zinc. MWg is founded by the team responsible for O2 products in Asia.

MWg fulfil the need of positioning system by giving SirF Star III GPS in the handheld. So, user may use it as smartphone as well as GPS hanset. 2.8 inches TFT QVGA touchscreen will be comfortably viewing maps.

O2 Launches 6 new Products

O2 seems very serious in the PDA handheld market. In the beginning of year 2008 O2 will launch 6 new products, they are: O2 XDA Stellar, O2XDA Orbit II, O2 XDA Comet, O2 XDA Nova, O2 XDA Terra and O2 XDA Argon. Each handheld gives its own taste and features.

Seeing the O2 XDA Comet’s features, I assume that this PDA handheld is for higher class market. The advanced features of this handheld may be seen from its processor that uses Intel XScale PXA 620 MHz and its internal memory, 1GB flashRom. Alas, it uses 64 MB instead of 128 MB SDRAM.

O2 XDA Orbit II

This series has excellent features. Besides O2 XDA Orbit II support 3G technology and HSDPA, it uses Microsoft Windows Mobile version 6.0 Professional, Qualcomm MSM7200, 400 MHz processor, built in GPS and TomTom map installed. The features place this handheld not only as PDA handheld but also Handheld GPS.
